I'm sure you haven't missed the fact that the Royals won the World Series this week! What you may or may not have also noticed was the battle of spine poetry that took place - Kansas City Public Library versus the New York Public Library and the Queens Library. This friendly competition first originated during the ALCS between the Royals and the Toronto Blue Jays, then continuing into the World Series games as well. One of my personal favorites (right) was created by the Kansas City Public Library prior to Game 2 of the World Series.
