William Allen White
Students in third, fourth, and fifth grade are eligible to participate in this year's award edition of STOP and Read a William Allen White Book. Participating students will be able to color in the space around the outside of the STOP sign as they show evidence that they've read each specific book. Those who have read and completed the knowledge activities (evidence) for a minimum of four William Allen White books will be eligible to vote for their favorite in April. Students who demonstrate evidence for at least six of the William Allen White nominees will receive acknowledgment at our Blue & Sliver Awards Ceremony at the end of the year. Any student who reads all eight William Allen White books will receive a copy for one of the next year's William Allen White nominees as a prize, in addition to being acknowledged at Blue & Silver. This year, we have also included a "bonus book", which is a bit longer than the others. Anyone is able to complete the bonus book, and it can be used as substitution for any book on their STOP sign.
