In the library, knowing where to actually find the book you're looking for is kind of a big deal. It's all about knowing where to go - location, location, location... LIBRARY FOOTBALL to the rescue! This week, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students played Library Football to practice this very important skill. 3rd and 4th grade practiced finding books from our Everybody and Fiction sections, while 5th grade ran around (with purpose) to find books within our Everybody, Fiction, and Nonfiction areas. Not only did these students prove they are pretty good at using shelf markers and finding books in our learning commons, but, with help from players being active on the sidelines, I was able to "master" my dance moves for the floss, hype/shoot, and orange justice. I mean...win, win! 😂 |

Our kinder-stars also started by learning about how books are like babies. We will practice and review more about taking care of our books next week too!
5th graders got to learn about LHTV jobs and responsibilities. Don't forget - applications are due Monday morning!! |
