Upon returning from Spring Break, 2nd grade continued weekend festivities with Laura Murray's The Gingerbread Man and the Leprechaun Loose in the School. Students were so excited to continue with this series of books after reading and comparing a few others back in December. Students then used a graphic novel page to created their own story involving the Gingerbread Man and another character. Some students chose to continue the story of the leprechaun, some chose figures from another holiday that they celebrate, and some chose characters just for fun. Take a look at a few examples below!

Our kinder stars finished our final lesson of our Pete the Cat library unit this week. Aside from enjoying lots of Pete the Cat books, we also practiced with direction words, practiced retelling a story, incorporated some math skills, and worked on growing our memories with a matching game. Below are some pictures of our stations from this week. Nextup on the kindergarten agenda...Mo Willems!
