First grade has been very busy these past few weeks with an animal adaptation project in the Learning Commons. As part of their project, they each had to identify how various adaptations help an animal and then decide on an animal with those specific adaptations. Based on those animals, students then created a new animal name that incorporated all three of the adaptations they had chosen. Below are each class' recordings where students share their created animals, explain some of their adaptations, and show an illustration of what that animal might look like if it were real.
Mrs. Szelewycz's class...My sincerest apologies when I share that your class' video was removed from it's device prior to being saved on our Vimeo site. As a result, we are no longer able to access this class video to post and share. I'm so disappointed, as students worked so hard and created amazing new animals. Unfortunately, we are not able to re-record since student pages have already been sent home at this time. Again, my greatest apologies, and please know that we'll have other great projects to share later in the year.
