Every year our K-2 students participate in the Bill Martin Jr. Award. This award was created by the Kansas Reading association to highlight children's picture books and honor Bill Martin Jr., a Kansas native. This year, our school submitted Nerdy Birdy by Aaron Reynolds as our official vote. We're eagerly waiting to find out if our vote matches the state winner as well; so far our record is 2-0 at successfully predicting winners. :) |
