Mrs. Williams
okay...so it's really Balloons Over Broadway, but we have books and bookshelves, not crowded city streets. Our 2nd graders recently read Balloons Over Broadway during a previous week, a biography about Tony Sarg, a famous puppeteer who invented the first balloon floats when the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade first began. After being introduced to the story, student teams worked to create their own version of Tony Sarg's second attempt at a balloon float, which was modeled after the concept of a large-scale Indonesian rod puppet. Below are their team creations by class. We hope you enjoy our parade! Mrs. Hatesohl Mrs. Heider Mrs .Mustain Mrs. Williams
