That's right 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders - move on over; you don't get to have all the fun! For many years now, our 3rd-5th grade students have had the option of nominating a book for the William Allen White Award each spring. How exciting! Unless you're a kinder, 1st grader, or 2nd grader! This year our primary students are participating in a Kansas award of their own; the Bill Martin Jr. Award. |
Currently, our learning commons has seven of this year's nominees, and over the past week or so, our primary classes have been busy reading them! After reading at least five of the books, classes will vote on their favorite in order to help us determine which nominee to submit as a school. We'll let you know our choice in a couple of weeks so be sure to check back in!
