Another school year and a great first week of library lessons! It was fun to see so many returning and new Bobcats! As an introductory week, most of our grade levels used a new addition to our library, Baby Monkey Private Eye by Brian Selznick and David Serlin, as a starting point for talking about how the 3R's of Langston Hughes can be applied to our library in various ways. Just like we came to expect Baby Monkey to always do certain things to solve a case, we should also expect certain behaviors for Ready, Respectful, and Responsible throughout the building. In library, we focused on four areas: lessons/read alouds, building challenges, coding/using devices, and checkout. |
5th graders got to learn about LHTV jobs and responsibilities. Don't forget - applications are due Monday morning!!
