This week, our second grade students visited a former Bill Martin Jr. nominee from a few years ago, Kid Sheriff and the Terrible Toads by Bob Shea. Students enjoyed this book full of humor and fun accents, but not quite as much as they loved creating their own outlaw names based on their birthday. We also worked on our speaking and listening skills as students followed a pattern song to share their outlaw name with the class. |
